Transformation Programme For Sungai Lembing into a Future-Led Society

A Sustainable and Technology-Driven Approach

Sungai Lembing, a former tin mining town in Malaysia, faces challenges of an aging population, economic decline, and environmental concerns. This research develops a sustainable transformation model integrating planning, technology, and community engagement across three key areas: sustainable development and digital heritage preservation, techno-local economic revitalization through smart tourism, and technology-driven social and cultural preservation. The goal is to revive Sungai Lembing while honoring its heritage and contributing to national development and global sustainability goals.
